Zack Snyder’s ‘Rebel Moon — Part One’ gets a limited 70mm theatrical run before Netflix release
Today, it was announced that Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon — Part One will get a limited one-week theatrical run before heading to Netflix on the 22nd of December. The movie will be screened exclusively on 70mm between the 15th and the 21st of December in four cinemas worldwide, including Prince Charles Cinema (London), Egyptian Theatre (Los Angeles), Paris Theater (New York City) and TIFF Bell Lightbox (Toronto).
The space adventure film, starring Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Ed Skrein (Deadpool), Cleopatra Coleman (Infinity Pool), and Cary Elwes (Saw), is about a mysterious young woman, Kora (Boutella), who lives in a peaceful society on the moon of Veldt. She’s tasked with finding fellow warriors from across the galaxy to protect their colony from a looming attack by a dictatorial despot.
The second part, Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver, is set to be released on the 19th of April 2024. Whether or not that will get a cinematic release is still to be determined.
