Writer/director Matt Winn’s latest movie, The Trouble with Jessica, is a highly British dark comedy about an unexpected death, self-preservation, bourgeois society, and the (lack of a) moral compass in times of need. Liselotte Vanophem: Hi, Shirley. First of all, congratulations on the film. What is it about the script that made you want to do this?
Shirley Henderson (the Harry Potter franchise, See How They Run): Everything. I had to make the decision very, very fast. I loved the script, as it made me laugh out loud. I loved the feeling of the script. Rufus, whom I have worked with many times, was attached to it, and Olivia, whom I have always wanted to work with. There were so many things that made me want to do this.
