Stephen Graham to receive the Richard Harris Award at the British Independent Film Awards

It was announced today that Stephen Graham will receive the Richard Harris Award at the 2023 British Independent Film Awards (BIFA). The award recognises the actor’s outstanding contribution to British films. Previous winners include Riz Ahmed, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kristin Scott Thomas, Helena Bonham Carter and Samantha Morton, among others.
In his official statement, the Boiling Point and Bodies star said, “To be recognised for this year’s Richard Harris award alongside the immense talent of the previous recipients is truly humbling and overwhelming. I’d like to give a heartfelt thanks to BIFA and the Harris family for this acknowledgement.”
The 26th British Independent Film Awards take place on the 3rd of December at Old Billingsgate.
