“Femme” acquired by Signature Entertainment for UK and Ireland release
“Femme”, the debut film from Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping, is acquired by Signature Entertainment for its UK and Ireland release. The drag queen revenge thriller is based on Freeman and Ping’s BIFA-winning and BAFTA-nominated same-named short film. It tells the story of Jules, whose life and career as a drag queen violently end when he’s targeted in a horrific homophobic attack. However, when Jules encounters his attacker, revenge is on his mind!
This neo-noir movie, starring Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (“Candyman”), George MacKay (“1917”) and John McCrea (“Cabaret”), premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and will have its UK premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on the 20th of August. Tickets can be booked here.
