Director Greta Gerwig named as Cannes Film Festival 2024 jury president

Today, it was announced that director, screenwriter, and actress Greta Gerwig (“Little Women”, “Barbie”) will preside over the Cannes Film Festival 2024 jury. Gerwig, who will be the first American female director chairing the Cannes jury, will follow up fellow directors and former jury presidents Alejandro González Iñárritu, Pedro Almodóvar and Spike Lee.
The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival takes place next year between the 14th of May and the 25th of May. The Official Selection will be revealed mid-April.
