Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is undoubtedly on a roll this award season. After dominating the SAG awards and Golden Globes, it also won big during last night’s Critics Choice Awards. It took home eight trophies, including “Best Acting Ensemble”, “Best Director”, “Best Cinematography” and “Best Supporting Actor” (Robert Downey Jr.). One of Downey Jr.’s ‘Oppenhomies’ and Oppenheimer leading actor, Cillian Murphy, lost the “Best Actor” trophy to Paul Giamatti who gave a splendid performance as Paul Hunham in The Holdovers. Giamatti’s co-stars were also awarded the statues for “Best Supporting Actress” (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) and “Best Young Actor/Actress” (Dominic Sessa).

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie followed just behind Oppenheimer with six awards, including “Best Comedy”, “Best Original Screenplay”, and “Best Production Design”. Ryan Gosling didn’t expect I’m Just Ken, written and produced by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt and performed by Gosling himself, to win the award for “Best Song”. Check out his reaction — which became an instant meme — here:
